This project was initially planned as a one-story building to accommodate multiple social service agencies. However, as the project progressed, additional funds were allocated to incorporate a second story for future expansion. Within a year of occupancy, the second floor was built out to accommodate Sarasota County offices. Tenants within this facility include CCC—Child Care Connection, Health Services, Jewish Family Services, Rise and Shine Budget and Counseling, Child Protective Services, Big Brother and Big Sister, Women’s Resource Center, DASH—Domestic Abuse Shelter Home, and Senior Friendship Office.
Sustainable Design: The project was designed to USGB LEED standards, incorporating sustainable design principles to create a highly efficient “green” building. Despite meeting these standards, the Owner opted not to pursue LEED certification due to financial considerations.
